Yes, all our hats distributed in Europe, the Middle East, Turkey and Russia carry the UPF50+ rating. Look for the UPF50+ swing tag for excellent sun protection.

Our fabrics are tested by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) and they determine what fabrics qualify as UPF 50+. The hats that qualify block 97.5% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays. There is no special chemical that creates this protection; it is how the fabric is woven that creates the protection. Remember you are only protected where you are shaded. Wear sunscreen, sunglasses as well as a hat while out in the sun.

UPF stands for “Ultraviolet Protection Factor” and it is used to rate fabrics and their protection against the sun’s ultraviolet rays. SPF is used to rate lotions and skin care products.

Place your hat in the sun to reshape any dents. Hats can be steamed or wiped with a damp cloth to reshape the rim. Hats should then be air dried.

Our hats are mostly crushable. Those that are, push the crown of the hat straight down to flatten out the hat. Lay flat in your suitcase so that it won’t get folded or creased.
